Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Kathryn Barger announced today that the Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved her motion to establish a $20,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension or conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of 36-year-old Barrington Spears in Littlerock.
On November 27, 2023, Spears was fatally shot after two masked intruders forced their way into his home on the 10800 block of East Avenue S. Despite an intensive investigation, no viable leads have been identified.
Supervisor Barger emphasized the importance of securing justice for Spears and his family. “This was a senseless and brutal crime that stole the life of a young man who was simply in his own home,” said Supervisor Kathryn Barger. “Barrington’s family deserves answers, and our community deserves justice. I will continue to do everything in my power to ensure that individuals who commit such heinous acts are held accountable.”
Barger has consistently championed efforts to bring justice to victims of violent crime in the Antelope Valley and throughout the district she represents.
