Supervisor Barger is committed to strengthening the regional economy and supporting local businesses. She believes that encouraging innovation and a business-friendly environment are key drivers that lead to job creation and ultimately improve the quality of life for all L.A. County residents.
Supervisor Barger has developed strong partnerships with many Chambers of Commerce across the Fifth District and has cultivated collaborations with the private sector. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she established the Economic Resiliency Task Force, which consisted of business and community leaders. Their insights helped L.A. County assess the economic impacts of its pandemic policies and informed the County’s plans to safely reopen.
