Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger will serve as Grand Marshal of the Valley Village Residents Association’s annual Fourth of July Parade, joining residents in celebrating one of the community’s longstanding holiday traditions. She shared the following statement today:
“As we celebrate our nation’s Independence Day, we are reminded that America’s strength is reflected in the people who serve their communities and uphold the values that unite us.
I extend my appreciation to our active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and all those working throughout the holiday to keep our communities safe. As you celebrate, please do so responsibly by following local fireworks laws, practicing fire safety, and looking out for one another.
