$20,000 Reward Reinstated for Information on Hit-and-run Death of Teenager In Canyon Country 724 483 Supervisor Kathryn Barger

Supervisor Kathryn Barger announced that the Board of Supervisors has reinstated a $20,000 reward for information on the driver responsible for the hit-and-run death of 15-year-old Desiree Renee Lawson in Canyon Country on December 26, 2016.

At approximately 8:40 p.m., Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Deputies responded to the scene of a 15-year-old minor who was struck and killed by a motorist on Sierra Highway, south of Soledad Canyon Road. The vehicle was described as a gold, tan, or dark sedan with a lowered front end and possible damage to the hood or front end.

The City of Santa Clarita is also offering a $5,000 reward.
