Today, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously reestablished a $10,000 reward offered in exchange for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the robbery of a local jewelry store in La Verne.

Described by local authorities as a violent robbery, the incident occurred on July 1, 2023, at Rodeo Jewelers in the City of La Verne. A store employee was assaulted and over $300,000 worth of jewelry was taken during the smash and grab style robbery.

“This crime took place in broad daylight,” said Supervisor Kathryn Barger. “This was not only an attack on a locally beloved jewelry store. It was also an attack on the safety and security of the surrounding community. We can’t grow complacent and accept these crimes as the new normal. I introduced this motion to ensure we hold those responsible accountable for their actions.”

Anyone with any information relevant to this crime can contact the La Verne Police Department by sending an email to detectives@lvpd.org or by dialing (909) 457-6541. Anonymous tips can be phoned in to Los Angeles Regional Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477) or emailed to lacrimestoppers.org.
