Supervisor Kathryn Barger issued the following statement regarding today’s upcoming earthquake drill, the Great California ShakeOut:
“As we approach the annual Great California ShakeOut this morning, I want to emphasize the importance of participating in this worldwide earthquake drill whether you are at work, school, or home.
The ShakeOut is more than just a drill. It’s a vital opportunity for individuals, families, businesses, and communities to prepare for the unpredictable. Participation matters because it helps you build some muscle memory so when an earthquake hits our County, you remember what to do.
I urge everyone to do their part and take part in the Great California ShakeOut today at 10:17 a.m.”
