Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Kathryn Barger issued the following statement as the County prepares to hold its first public hearing on the Recommended 2025-26 Budget today at 9:30 a.m. at the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration:
“I remain committed to keeping the County on solid financial footing while preserving our strong credit rating. That means being fiscally responsible, even as we continue to invest in the essential programs and services our residents rely on. It’s a careful balance—but one we can achieve by listening to those we serve and planning with foresight and discipline.
Today’s hearing is another opportunity for the public to weigh in on how County dollars are spent. Whether you join in person or call in remotely, your voice matters.”
